A beautiful, half hardy shrub with deep red bell-shaped flowers. Flowers on and off throughout the year, especially under glass. Eventually makes a large shrub to 3m but less if kept in a pot. Bushy, upright habit. Hardy to minus 5 °C for short periods. Only really worth risking outside in winter in coastal or southern gardens. Ideal for a warm, sheltered courtyard. Otherwise makes a superb specimen in a large pot in a conservatory or for the summer patio. Watch out for spider mite on these plants in a hot conservatory.
