(CAPE HONEYSUCKLE.) Not related to the true honeysuckle, these rambling climbers originate from South Africa and are commonly grown in Mediterranean climates. They have red, orange or yellow tubular flowers mid-late summer. Grow in loam based compost in a large pot, or in a sunny conservatory border. Can be cut back hard in spring. Feed monthly in summer. Minimum 2° C. The species has an agm agm.

TRADESCANTIA (Commelinaceae)
(WANDERING JEW.) We have a range of these very useful plants, mostly un-named. We have plain greem purple/green, yellow/green abd white/green varities. These are useful as ground cover in conservatory or indoor plantings, hanging baskets, windowsills or even bedded out for the summer. They like shade from hot sun under glass, but are otherwise easy to care for. Our stock plants tolerate near freezing temperatures. Divide in spring when clumps become congested. ZANTEDESCHIA (Araceae)
(ARUM LILY.) Popular plants with attractive funnel-shaped spathes which many people think of as the flowers but are basically coloured leaves which surround the much less attractive flower spikes inside. Z. aethiopica and its cultivars are hardy to minus 5° C. In frost prone areas apply a protective mulch for the winter. They can be grown as marginal plants in water no deeper than 30cm (1ft) Grow in full sun or very light shade. Very good as a cut flower but keep out of hot sun to prevent the delicate spathes from burning.
