Grass, closely related to the Papyrus but much smaller. Tall stems have umbrellas of leaves with rays bearing small clusters of yellow flowers in summer. Grow in very moist soil. Ideal for a bog garden or pond margin. Half hardy, best removed from the pond and kept somewhere sheltered over winter
