One of the easier Hoyas to grown this makes a scrambling climbing or trailing plant for the house or conservatory. The foliage is glossy with white markings, the scented flowers, depending on which variety this turns out to be, will be red to pink with white markings.
In the wild Hoyas live in trees, so they don't need or like a large root run. They are best kept slightly pot bound, in a shallow pot or hanging basket in very well drained compost. We recommend an equal mix of peat free compost, bark (you can use orchid bark if you have some) and either perlite or washed horticultural grit or sand. Never over water and keep on the dry side in winter. Do not over feed Hoyas. A balanced liquid fertiliser a few times a year is sufficient.
