DELIVERY
WITHIN THE UK MAINLAND: The
delivery charge is £12.50
for parcels over 2 kg up to a large box (2 ft x 18" x 18" ). This is a NEXT DAY service. Certain plants, e.g. those which are dormant,
may be sent via a two-three day service for £10.50 for the same weight.

ALL
THESE SERVICES REQUIRE A SIGNATURE ON ARRIVAL. If you think you may be out,
leave a signed note on the door instructing the delivery man to leave the parcel
at your risk, and telling him where to leave it (e.g. by back door etc.).Parcels left without a signature are not covered by insurance
Carriage
to Scottish Highlands and UK offshore islands will be charged differently, and
may take longer. Delivery charges may be subject to change. DELIVERY WITHIN THE EU: Charges will vary depending on weight and destination. Please contact the nursery and we will work out the delivery charge based on the plants you wish to order. We regret we cannot ship to countries outside the EU. HOW TO ORDER: Please ring us or (preferably) e-mail us a list of what you are looking for - we will then let you know the total cost and arrange a suitable delivery date. ( If you contact us by email, please give us a daytime 'phone number, and give us a ring if you haven`t heard after a few days - email not being 100% reliable). We
find this personal approach suits our operation and hopefully helps us provide a
better service. We can also discuss with you what size plants you want as our
plants are often available in different sizes. Some larger plants may be cut
back to fit the packaging—we will only do this where the plant will not be
adversely affected. If we think you will be better off with a smaller un-pruned
plant we will advise you.
Orders
unpaid for will be held at the nursery for one calendar month after the date of
order. ARRANGING
DELIVERY:
We normally send plants out early in the week. We do not send plants out in very
cold or hot weather, during the 2 weeks preceding Christmas or when delivery may
be delayed by Bank Holidays. There may inevitably be delays in sending out
orders during spring due to backlogs caused by the cold weather. PAYMENT

TOTAL PRICE. WE

We
must receive payment in full before we can process your order. LOCAL
DELIVERY:
For very large plants or large orders, we may be able to deliver to addresses in
East Anglia. Please ring us for details as our ability to offer this service
would depend on how busy we are at certain times of the year. CARING
FOR YOUR PLANTS UPON ARRIVAL:
Open the parcel and remove plants immediately and water if required. On
occasions we will send plants bare-rooted to save weight. These plants must be
potted up immediately into the appropriate compost or planted out, weather
permitting, if the root system is large enough. Plants are supplied with
descriptive labels which should provide enough cultivation information. More
detailed information will be provided where appropriate, or can be found in our
catalogue. There is often a delay in sending out tender plants during periods of low overnight temperatures. COMPLAINTS:
We
will deal with any complaints fairly on an individual basis, but only if
submitted in writing within 7 days of receipt. In the case of damage during
transit, please retain packaging & inform us immediately. We cannot be held
responsible for culture of the plant once it has left our nursery as it will be
affected by conditions beyond our control. We always endeavour to send out
healthy plants, and where possible, we will include cultural advice. AVAILABILITY:
We
only list plants of which we have or expect to have a reasonable stock level.
However, there are inevitably some plants which sell out before others; if we
don't have what you are looking for, we can advise you when it will become
available or perhaps grow-to-order, providing you with a rooted cutting in a
reasonably short period of time but this would depend on the time of year &
type of plant. We therefore cannot give a time frame here. Conversely we often
have small quantities of some items which don't appear in the catalogue – so
if there is something special you are looking for, once again give us a ring to
see if we can help. RESERVATIONS:
You are welcome to reserve plants for collection from the Nursery. Please try to
give us at least three days notice if you require a number of plants. These will
then be held under your name for one calendar month from the date of
reservation. If you are visiting Shrubland Hall Health Clinic and have already
chosen plants from our catalogue please ring us in advance of your visit so we
can put the plants to one side for you. You are, of course, welcome to visit the
nursery during your stay: we will happily look after any plants you buy for you
to collect just before you leave. TRADE
AND QUANTITY DISCOUNTS:
We are willing to discuss trade or quantity discounts on orders of £200 or more
(excluding delivery) for plants that are produced in our nursery – please
contact us if you are interested. We are not able to give an across the board
discount because of the wide range of plants we have and the varying cost/ease
of propagation thereof. PRICES:
Prices include VAT at the rate in force at the time of printing. We reserve the
right to alter prices, including delivery charges,
where these are affected by factors beyond our control. As a general
rule, prices in the catalogue relate to the largest size we stock, excluding
specimen plants. The plants in this catalogue, especially the tender subjects,
have a wide range of growth habits & therefore come in a wide range of pot
sizes; shrubs & climbers are typically in 3 – 4 litre pots. We often have
tender plants in 3½
inch pots at between £4.50 to £6.50.
Hardy perennials are normally sold in 6” square pots. Small hardy
perennials may be available in 3½
inch pots typically between £2 to £3.
Visitors to the nurseries may find plants on sale at different prices, in
which case the price paid is as printed on the label. E
