AZORINA VIDALLII (De Faria E Maia)

This shrubby member of the Campanula family comes from the Azores, where it lives on sea cliffs. It bears sprays of very pretty pink flowers in summer. Dislikes stagnant air, and is relatively short-lived, but will seed freely. Cut stems bleed a milky sap, and we find that dead leaves are best cut, rather than pulled, off the stem.
