To the right are lists of common names and the corresponding botanical name (or Latin name, or scientific name) of the plants we list, or have listed in the past, together with the relevant section to search in the catalogue section of this site. If you know a plant by its common name, these may help you find it.
Since the same common name may apply to several unrelated plants and not all plants have common names, the only sure way of getting the plant you want is to ask for it by its correct botanical name.
Strictly speaking, we should use the term "Botanical", since many plant names are derived from the Greek, rather than Latin language.)
