(HATTIES' PINCUSHION.) Grow most species and cultivars in moist, humus-rich soil in sun or part shade. Cultivars of Astrantia Major will tolerate drier conditions. All make good woodland plants. Many will re-bloom if cut back after the first flush of flowers.
