Succulents

We sell a selection of Succulents - they are great for hot sunny conservatories or windowsills. They are excellent for introducing children to growing plants.

Our conservatory plants and succulents will available from late April/early May, depending on weather. We have had some losses due to the cold weather and are currently going through our stock to see what we will have for sale this year. Our conservatory plant and succulent list will be updated over the next few weeks, so check regularly!

Prices are based on plants grown in 9cm or 1 Litre pots.

Aeonium 'Zwartkop'

Succulent with very dark purple-black leaves. Pinch out to encourage branching. Needs good light. Pot into Cactus compost and feed 2-3 times in growing season. Keep drier in winter. 60 cms (2 feet). Minimum 3 - 7° C. AGM.

Aeonium arboreum 'Magnificum'

An impressive plant with huge flattened rosettes of fresh green succulent leaves. After a few years an impressive flowering spike sometimes appears. This will die back after flowering. Grow in 1 part loam to 2 parts grit in good light. 45 cms (1½ feet). Minimum 3 - 7° C.

Succulent with blue-green leaves and VERY SHARP SPINES! Good specimen for a conservatory or frost free gardens if kept dry. Needs sharp drainage. If grown in a pot use cactus compost with added grit. Suckers freely. VERY PRICKLY. 2 metres (6 feet). Minimum 0 - minus 5° C. AGM. 9 cm pot.
