Native Hedging

Below are plant species (and cultivars of) which are native to the British Isles and are very important for the diversity of our wildlife. British wildlife has evolved along side these plants and many species depend on them for food and habitat. Loss of habitat has been directly linked to the decline in some species especially birds. If every garden had at least one species of native Shrub or Tree this would help to significantly reduce this decline.
