Containers - Indoors

These plants are well suited to growing in containers, in the house, conservatory or sun room. For most plants we recommend using a mix of a loam based compost (John Innes) and either your own garden compost or a multi-purpose compost and some horticultural grit or medium grade bark. This results in a mixture which is light and open enough to prevent water-logging but heavy enough to retain moisture and nutrients. In the case of acid-loving plants use Ericaceous compost.
