Prairie Style Planting

Prairie planting is an informal “wild” style of planting which incorporates mostly grasses with some, airy flowering plants. Many plants originate from areas such as the North American Prairies and are suited to an open, sunny, well drained site. It is a low maintenance style of planting but regular weeding and removal of some plants is needed to keep a good balance and prevent any one species from dominating.
