Chives (Allium schoenoprasum)

Culinary herb with mild, onion-tasting leaves which are good for garnishing and flavouring soups and other dishes. Perennial. Grow in sun or part shade in well drained soil. Ideal for a pot. If growing in a container use a 50/50 mix of multipurpose compost and John Innes No. 3 loam based compost and mix in some horticultural grit for drainage. Supplied in 9cm pots.
