Plant Family: Asparagaceae

Position/ Situation:  Sheltered, frost-free gardens
Sun or Shade:  Sun
Height:  low (up to 3 feet)
Habit/Shape:  Clump forming
Hardiness/minimum temperature:  Frost tender (plus 1 to 5 deg. C.)


A species with rather sparsely arranged leaves, each with rather vicious spines. Its previous name A. carchariodonta referred to the Great White Shark, and when you look at its spines, you'll see how fitting this was. The stock we have gently suckers, so you'll have some extra plants to scare your friends with.
