Our selection of 6 plants for Chalky soil. Chalky soil can be problematic as it has a pH range that some plants do not like. It also tends to drain very freely and much moisture and nutrients are lost. We will select plants for you that will cope with these conditions. The actual selection will vary and will be based on what we have available at the time of ordering so we are unable to guarantee which specific plants will be included as the selection will be of our choice. Supplied in 1 litre pots.

We aim to despatch orders within 3 working days of receipt but please allow up to 7 working days. Plants are despatched Monday-Thursday (excl. Bank Holidays) 

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category. Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 9cm or 1 litre pots
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre 
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
