(Cyperus haspan L.) A very architectural tender grass for a windowsill or conservatory with upright stems which branch into a palm-like shape at the top. A smaller and more manageable alternative to the Cyperus Papyrus, growing to a maximum of 1m. Stand in a saucer and keep topped up with water at all times.

Bottle tree with attractive horizontally held felty leaves. Its swollen trunk stores water. Curious fleshy red flowers appear in late winter, even on small plants.
Rarely offered, this makes an attractive trailing houseplant with fleshy ovate leaves on long trailing stems. The best position is in indirect light, away from hot sun.
