A sought after perennial with spikes of star-shaped white or sometimes pink flowers from May-July. Produces bushy clumps of lemon-scented foliage. The seed capsules exude a gas that can be ignited hence the common names Burning Bush or Gas Plant.

This plant is found naturally growing on dry slopes so it likes a sunny well drained spot and is pretty drought tolerant. It can be slow to establish and may take a couple of years to flower. Eventually 90cm by about 60cm wide. May cause mild stomach upset if ingested and the foliage can be a skin irritant.
