Evergreen shrub with very sweetly scented, creamy-white flowers (to 3in across) in summer. This cultivar is supposed to be hardier than others, but is probably best treated as half hardy in anywhere other than in warm moist gardens, e.g. south west Britain. Gardenias like an even warm temperature and humidity, in bright but not direct sunlight. Use good quality ericaceous compost, and keep evenly watered using rainwater if possible.
