Hardy perennials are the mainstay of the herbaceous border, giving colour through the year for very litte effort and attracting bees and butterflies into the garden.

A striking plant sporting very large green leathery leaves with ruffled edges, growing to around two feet and taking on a purple tinge in the winter. The flowers are mid-pink and appear on stems to 3 feet tall.
