An evergreen perennial with clumps of narrow, sword-shaped orange-tinted green leaves and bowl shaped white flowers in late spring. An excellent subject for a pot in a sunny, sheltered garden. This species has particularly attractive foliage in the autumn when the central vein on each leaf turns orange and is picked up nicely by the weaker sun at that time of year. The height can vary depending on soil conditions ranging from 40cm (15in) to 75cm (2 ft) From New Zealand. Hardy to -5C

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category. Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 9cm or 1 litre pots
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre 
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
