Related and very similar to Justicia brandegeeana but more erect with larger, bright yellow 'shrimp-like' flowers in spring-early summer. (The colour is actually provided by bracts, the true flowers being white.) Grow in well-drained loam based compost in full light in a humid atmosphere.

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category (Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 2 or 3 litre (occasionally 1.5 litre)
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
