Deciduous grass which, as the summer progresses, slowly turns deep red by autumn. Looks great with late flowering perennials. Produces airy flower panicles in late summer. Sun and well drained soil. Cut to ground level in spring. Warm season.

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category (Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: 9cm or 1 litre
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 2 or 3 litre (occasionally 1.5 litre)
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
