A clump-forming hardy perennial with single, bright-yellow flowers with a red centre in late summer. Ideal for softening the edge or filling gaps in the front of the border. Grow in any well drained soil. Potentillas are reasonably tolerant of poorer soils. Full sun or partial shade. Eventual flowering height 20cm

Achillea 'Inca Gold'£5.50
Large flat heads of terracotta flowers fading to yellow with age from June to August. An excellent cut flower and attracts bees and butterflies.
A superb violet-blue flowered cultivar forming spreading clumps of attractively cut leaves. Very good for smothering weeds.
Aster 'Small Ness'£5.50
A mildew-resistant cultivar, neat and low-growing, and covered with pink flowers in autumn. Good in normal to dry-ish soils, sun to part-shade.
Heuchera 'Pluie de Feu'£5.50
('Rain of Fire'.) An old French hybrid, possibly pushed to the wayside by the newer flamboyant introductions. In early summer spikes of small vivid red flowers appear.
