How to Order

PLACING AN ORDER THROUGH OUR WEBSITE

Please read our terms and conditions before ordering.

Searching for plants

You can find plants by browsing the categories on the left hand side such as conservatory plants or hardy perennials. Alternatively if you already know the specific name of a plant you are looking for then enter this in the search function towards the upper right of the screen. Please note that you may achieve better search results by entering the botanical (Latin) name rather than common name. If you cannot find a plant on our website under its common name and are unsure of the correct Latin name, try entering the common name into a search engine or looking it up in a good plant encyclopaedia. If you are still having problems then please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help.

Adding plants to the Shopping basket

To place items in your shopping basket simply add the number of plants you require in the box to the right of the description of the plant. Once you are happy with your selection click in the 'add selected items to basket' button at the top or bottom of the page. Please note that if you move onto another page before adding selected items to basket these will not automatically be added. You can view or ammend your basket by clicking on the 'Shopping Basket' link on the right hand side of the page.

Ordering without creating an account

You can place an order through our website without having to create an account if you just want to place a single order quickly. However creating an account does have its advantages (please see below). Please note a Visitor's shopping basket is temporary and cannot be saved and will be emptied once you leave the online shop.

Creating an account

The advantage of creating an account is that your shopping basket will be saved if you are logged in and you can come back to it later to complete your order. Also if you make any more purchases in the future you will have a record of your purchase history and you will not need to re-enter your address and contact details each time. To create an account you can either click on log in or simply proceed to the checkout stage from your shopping basket (if it contains any items) and you will automatically be given the option to create an account. We will need some details from you such as your name, address and contact details. You can be assured we will not share your details with any third party. Please see our Privacy Notice if you are concerned about disclosing personal information.

Checkout

Once you have selected the items you want click on the 'Checkout' button in your 'Shopping Basket' and click on the 'Check Out with PayPal' button. You can either login to PayPal if you have an account or if you do not have a PayPal account you can click on the 'Don't have a PayPal account?' link and enter your details to pay by credit/debit card. Once you have completed payment you will be taken back to our website where you will need to continue the checkout process to enter your contact details and finalise your order. If you wish to pay by cheque you will have to create an account or alternatively contact us by phone or e-mail with the details of the plants you wish to order.

Order Acknowledgement and Confirmation

When you place an order you will automatically receive an order acknowledgement by email. This is just to confirm we have received your order. We will then check that we have the all the plants and that they are in a suitable condition for dispatch. We will then send you an email Confirmation with details of the dispatch date and notify you if we are unable to supply any part of your order.

OTHER WAYS TO ORDER

By Email

You can e-mail us: gill@shrublandparknurseries.co.uk with a list of the plants you wish to order and we will confirm availability and cost. If you wish to proceed we will then make arrangements with you for payment and a suitable delivery date. We may ask you to pay with PayPal through our website (see under Payment Options below)

By Phone

Telephone us on 01473 657012. If we are unable to take your call you can leave a message with your name telephone number and plants you wish to order and we will get back to you when we can. Please DO NOT leave any card details with your message as this is not secure. We will ring you back and take the relevant details in person.

By Post

If you prefer you can send us a list of the plants you wish to order to:

Please do not send any payment with your order . We will send you an order confirmation, detailing the plants we can supply. Please include your telephone number so we can contact you more quickly regarding your order. If you wish to proceed we will then make arrangements with you for payment and a suitable delivery date.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

At present we prefer payments to be made by PayPal(see more details below) This is the most secure method as your card details are not disclosed to or stored by us.

Credit/debit card

We accept payment by most major credit/debit cards except AMEX (American Express) or Diner's Club. Purchases with credit/debit card can be made by telephone or upon visiting the nursery. Please contact us to place an order and arrange payment by card over the phone.

Cheque

You may pay for your order by cheque if you have received an order confirmation from us with the final total. Please make cheques out to 'SHRUBLAND PARK NURSERIES'. Please note that it takes a minimum of 10 working days from us getting to the bank for them to process and clear a cheque. If you are collecting your order in person from the Nursery please note we cannot accept cheques as payment on collection due to the fact that banks no longer guarantee personal cheques and as such we cannot consider that we have received payment until the cheque has cleared and cannot release goods until this has take place. You can pay for your order on collection by Credit/ Debit card or cash. If you still wish to pay by cheque on collection please send a cheque in advance of your visit and wait for us to confirm that it has cleared before coming to collect your order.

PAYPAL

You can use PayPal to pay for your order even if you do not have a PayPal account. If you would prefer to use this payment method rather than by cheque or card over the phone you can either place an order through our website and follow the payment instructions or if you have placed an order separately for plants that do not appear on our website we can send you a payment request e-mail from PayPal with your order details and our details filled in and you can make payment that way.

RESERVING PLANTS

If you wish to reserve plants and collect them from the nursery you can select the 'Store Pickup' option during the checkout process. You can opt to pay by PayPal or by cheque. If you would like to pay by cash or card on collection just select pay by cheque and type a message in the comments box that you will be paying by Cash or Credit/Debit card on collection. Please note we cannot accept cheques as payment on collection due to the fact that banks no longer guarantee personal cheques and as such we cannot consider that we have received payment until the cheque has cleared and cannot release goods until this has take place.) If you still wish to pay by cheque on collection please send a cheque in advance of your visit and wait for us to confirm that it has cleared before coming to collect your order. Alternatively you can just contact us by phone or e-mail to reserve your plants.

Please check our Visitor Information page for opening times before coming to collect your plants. If you wish to come outside of these times please contact us and we may be able to arrange a suitable time for you to collect your order.

Reservations will be held under your name for one calendar month from the date of reservation or until a specific date which has been agreed. If you have not collected your order within this time or contacted us to re-arrange a date for collection we reserve the right to make plants available for sale again as we cannot keep them reserved indefinitely.

TRADE DISCOUNT

We are willing to discuss trade or quantity discounts on orders of £200 or more (excluding VAT and delivery) for plants that are produced in our nursery. We are not able to give an across the board discount because of the wide range of plants we have and the varying cost/ease of propagation thereof.
